This Privacy Policy explains how GetMoreInvites (“GetMoreInvites”, “we”, “us”) handles your personal information when you visit getmoreinvites.com, connect your Upwork account, or receive a Visibility Report from us.
GetMoreInvites is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Upwork Inc. “Upwork” is a trademark of Upwork Inc., used here only to describe the account our service connects to.
Who we are
GetMoreInvites is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@getmoreinvites.com.
Your Upwork connection
To build your report we need to read your Upwork data. This is how that connection works:
- You approve it on Upwork. When you connect, you’re sent to upwork.com, where you log in (if needed) and authorize GetMoreInvites on Upwork’s own consent screen. The connection uses Upwork’s official OAuth 2.1 authorization for its MCP server, the interface Upwork provides for approved apps and AI agents.
- We never see your password. You type it only on upwork.com. Upwork gives us an access token, which we store encrypted.
- We only read. Our software only makes read requests. We never change your profile, submit or withdraw proposals, send or read messages, accept offers or contracts, or spend your Connects, and we never act outside the permission you grant.
- We only take what the report needs, as Upwork’s API Terms of Use require. The next section lists it.
- You can end it anytime, from your GetMoreInvites account or from the connected apps in your Upwork account settings. Either way we stop reading your data at once.
We follow Upwork’s Terms of Service, API Terms of Use and the terms that apply to its MCP server. Upwork’s own handling of your data is covered by Upwork’s privacy policy, not this one.
What we collect
From your Upwork account (with your authorization)
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, profile photo, country and Upwork account IDs | To create your GetMoreInvites account, recognise you, and email you your report |
| Profile: title, overview, hourly rate, skills, categories, portfolio, certifications and badges | To score how visible your profile is and what to fix |
| Work history, feedback and job success details | To compare you with successful freelancers in your niche |
| Proposal and contract activity: proposals sent, Connects spent, replies, interviews, invitations, contracts | To work out where your proposals stop converting |
| Earnings figures shown in your Upwork financial summary | To benchmark your rate and results against your niche |
We do not read the content of your messages, and we never access your payment methods or bank details.
Information you give us
- Your email address, if you sign in with an emailed code.
- Anything you send us, such as support questions or data requests.
- Details you share if you book a call with us, such as your preferred time and notes.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and request times, kept in security logs so we can protect the service and fix problems.
- Essential cookies only: a sign-in session cookie, and a short-lived cookie that secures the Upwork connection while you authorize it. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To make your report. We analyse your data, score your profile against your niche, and email you the results.
- To send updated reports. While your account stays connected, we may send a new report periodically (at most about once a month) so you can see what changed.
- To run the service. This covers sign-in, keeping your account secure, preventing abuse and fixing errors.
- To support you when you contact us.
- To offer our own services. Our team reviews reports so we can offer optional paid help with your profile, such as an expert call. We may email you about your report and these services, and you can opt out anytime.
- To improve our scoring. We use aggregated and de-identified results to make reports more accurate.
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for cross-context advertising, and we don’t use it for any purpose unrelated to the above.
AI analysis
Parts of your profile text, such as your title and overview, may be analysed by an AI model to assess clarity and relevance. We use Google’s Gemini API for this. Google processes the text on our behalf, only to return the analysis. The analysis is used for your report; it is not used to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
- Contract: to provide the report and account you asked for.
- Consent: for the Upwork connection, which you give on Upwork’s consent screen and can withdraw anytime by disconnecting.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure, improve our scoring, and tell you about related services (you can object at any time).
- Legal obligation: where we must keep or disclose information by law.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting, database, file storage, and delivery of our emails |
| Google LLC (Gemini API) | AI analysis of profile text for your report |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or to a successor if GetMoreInvites is merged or sold, in which case this policy continues to apply. We never share your Upwork data with other freelancers or clients.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- While your account is active, we keep your profile data and past reports so each new report can show your progress.
- When you disconnect Upwork, we delete your stored access tokens straight away and stop reading your Upwork data. Your existing reports stay in your account until you delete it.
- When you delete your account, it’s deactivated at once and permanently erased after 30 days. The 30 days let you restore it if you change your mind. We keep only a minimal record where we must: for example, to remember that you opted out of emails, or to meet legal obligations.
- Security logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
How we protect it
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
- Upwork access tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Staff access is limited by role and used only to run the service and support you.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal information, including in a portable format
- correct information that is wrong
- delete your information
- object to or restrict how we use it, including for marketing
- withdraw consent at any time, for example by disconnecting Upwork
To use these rights, email contact@getmoreinvites.com from the address linked to your account. We’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents: we don’t sell or share your personal information, and we won’t treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
Children
GetMoreInvites is for people aged 18 and over, as is Upwork. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, if the changes are significant, let you know by email before they take effect.
